Apple has been updating its AirPodcast firmware to version 2.2.5, a significant update that adds support for Bluetooth 4.1 and the AirPod 2, the company said today.
The update includes support for the AirPiggles 2.0 and AirPod 3.0, as well as support for a variety of devices including the Apple Watch, iPhone X, and Apple Watch Series 2.
The update also adds support to Apple’s Apple Watch Face ID and Airpod 2’s accelerometer and microphone.
Apple’s update comes one day after Apple announced a new update for its AirPod and AirPointers, which also includes support in the AirPointer for Bluetooth 5.0 audio streaming and Bluetooth 6.0 data connection.
Apple has also been updating AirPod firmware with new software and hardware enhancements since the Airpods debut.
In December, Apple introduced AirPod Connect for wireless charging, and in January, it introduced AirPogo for charging.
Apple also released AirPod Pro for AirPod owners in March.
